What I build, at work and on my own.
Simplifya
An accounting practice that decided to write its own software rather than rent it. I’m its developer since September 2025, alone on both tools, from the product to the servers.
Create, modify or close a French company, filed with the state end to end.
The client answers a few screens, pays and signs, and the file leaves for the authorities. SASU, SAS, EURL, SARL, SCI, micro-entreprise.

How it’s built
The other end is a real administration. A wrong NAF code or a threshold typed from memory doesn’t fail loudly: it passes, and a real filing is corrupt. So every reference table comes from an official source file on disk, and that rule shaped more of the code than any framework.
One app, split into four services on Railway: the Next.js frontend, with server components by default because half the business arrives through search; the Symfony backend with API Platform; a worker that runs the queue for filings, payments and signatures; and PostgreSQL.
Invoices in, a FEC ledger out: the tool that keeps our own books.
Bookkeeping software costs around 250 € a month for ten files, and most of what it does is read a PDF and match one number to another. So I wrote the tool instead.

How it’s built
Claude’s vision model reads each invoice into structured JSON, which becomes entries with multi-rate VAT, and the supplier and client accounts (401…, 411…) open as they appear. Bank statements come in as CSV from BNP, Société Générale, Crédit Agricole, Qonto or Revolut.
Reconciliation runs deterministic first, grouped payments next, and the model only on what’s genuinely ambiguous: matching stays cheap as long as the LLM never does arithmetic. Bank statements cost nothing to parse and filing barely costs a thing: the cost is in reading the invoices.

How it’s built
People arrive from a search engine, on a phone, and leave with a file. So it’s server-rendered, the metadata and structured data are taken seriously, and the document is generated in the browser: nothing the visitor types is sent anywhere.
The catalogue lives in Supabase next to written guides for the documents that need explaining more than filling. Field labels exist in French, English and Spanish, and the template request box is rate-limited on a hashed IP.
